The craft of facilitating yoga has been an evolving art form that potentiates a journey into the living essence of embodiment. In the landscape of the classroom we have the possibility of offering doorways into the deepest now. How to use our own self as the director of the experience is not obvious or easy, but honing this capacity is the way to carve journeys for practitioners into their highest Self.
In this 50 hour module we will learn how to craft journeys in the classroom to take people towards the living art of yoga.
Unlike any other art form teaching asks of the facilitator knowledge of asana, anatomy, philosophy, breath, holding space, voice, language, transmission, and embodying the teachings. Becoming an ambassador of the teachings of yoga, the art of facilitating is a never ending evolution of Self that requires courage, authenticity, humor, and vulnerability.
In this training, we will create a laboratory for honing our craft. Regardless of the type of which yoga you teach, this training will work with facilitators in order to help them hone their own instrument. We have the ability to make great change as facilitators, it takes everything, and we only get better through the work.
With over 20 years of teaching yoga, and thousands of teacher trained under her programs, Tara has a passion for mentoring facilitators into the best expression of themselves. Drawing from an extensive background as a director of theater and film, Tara pulls from her time working with actors to help teachers pull out their strongest communication skills.
Where our personal knowledge meets the mind of the room in front of us demands a combination of preparation and improvisation. Becoming, fluid range of presence, skill, and adaptability helps the facilitator speak to the students in front.
