Zen Men: Yoga for Men Spring
This yoga session invites men to celebrate embodied masculinity through movement, breath, meditation, inner exploration, connection and sound, with Egg drinks and snacks together to close.
A seasonal yoga practice for men focuses on embracing true masculinity, and one that explores an inner confidence of determination, vulnerability and the freedom to express oneself.
On average, one in eight men will experience depression and one in five men will experience anxiety at some stage of their lives. Research has shown that men are less likely to seek help and more likely to suffer from social and emotional stress. More shockingly emotional repression and masculine pressure has shown to influence body image distress, anxiety, depression and suicidal tendencies.
Egg’s Zen Men sessions are designed to discover the joy and benefits of practicing yoga together as men. The sessions are designed to help increase feelings of self-worth and masculinity without societal pressure, and to feel physically and mentally more resilient and strong. Yoga routines for men that consist of pranayama (breath techniques), yoga asana and meditation have shown to improve sleep, mood, social interactions, and a greater openness towards each other’s experience and feelings. Especially when practicing together!
