Booking into class
Logging through the Egg website. The dashboard displays all active passes and any upcoming classes. If there are no classes displayed here then you have not been booked into any.
We use Zoom to livestream, you can either have it downloaded to your device or join via your chosen internet browser. For the best livestream experience we recommend downloading the latest version of Zoom which can be found here
Receiving links
We use an external platform to send out scheduled class links, this is an automated process if you have successfully booked yourself into class and it comes up on your dashboard.
Links will land in your nominated email inbox approximately 20 minutes prior to class start time. Some email providers have security protocols that identify our automated emails as spam and filters away from your inbox. We highly recommend adding info@eggoftheuniverse.com to your email settings as a safe contact.
If you have checked that you are booked into class and your spam/junk inboxes and still don’t see the link please call through the studio and one of the desk angels will add you to class and/ or resend the link.
Setting up your space
We recommend finding the most quiet spot in your home/ chosen space to practice. Being mindful of having enough physical space to allow for full range of movement for your body. Place your device somewhere you will be able to easily see and hear with the least amount of neck twisting required to see the screen.
Personal favourite tip is to imitate the set up as it would be in the studio: Teachers mat at the front horizontal and your yoga mat vertical to them.
Listening to music
Some of our teachers compose playlists (via spotify) for their classes, these are usually shared once in the chat of the zoom call, desk angels aim to post it a few minutes before class start time, when the teacher mentions the playlist and a few minutes after class begins. If you join and don’t see the link rest assured it will most likely be posted again in a couple of minutes.
Host and Co-host chat
If you would like to send a private message to the teacher to notify them of any injuries or personal questions you have please direct message the ‘Host’. ‘Co-hosts’ are one of our fabulous desk angels as tech support, feel free to send them a message if you have issues during class.
Technical Issues
We aim to provide seamless streaming however sometimes the tech gremlins do win. Occasionally we can experience a lag in the video stream however the audio usually keeps up in real time. On these occasions please bear with us as the video catches up, please listen out for the teachers’ cues over visuals.
